TabTrade - What Traders Should Know

Tab Trade - The Short Version

TabTrade opened in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

That last detail is relevant. It says the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. But more reassuring than a founder with no industry background.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Most new brokers focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys went the other way. Unusual for a new broker.

Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, crypto, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For a broker that is a few months old, that coverage is not narrow.

Platforms

You get: MT5, cTrader, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from one account. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MT4 or MT5 previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Better DOM. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people prefer it once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but is only on the VIP account ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently coming. That should round things out when it lands.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Straightforward. No minimum deposit. Good for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often below 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most brokers that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, faster fills, negotiated fees. Not relevant to most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Infrastructure

The execution is where Tab Trade actually does something different. Equinix servers in London. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Sub-20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, it does. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.

Combine those fill times with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and the overall offering holds up. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

Regulation

This is the detail that matters. TabTrade is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The execution setup is not cheap. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of how you think about it.

The deal: you give up tier-1 protection. In exchange: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, fast fills. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade has a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Typical deposit match. You deposit, the broker add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before you deposit.
